What we collect

• Visit analytics. When you open a page we record the page you viewed, the link that referred you, your approximate location and network (both derived from your IP address), your IP address, your browser and device type, and a first-party identifier stored in your browser so repeat visits can be recognised as the same person. We also record roughly how long you spend on the page, your screen size, browser language and timezone, and which outbound links you click — including the “Join Us” button.
• Registration form. When you register we receive what you entered — your name, email, phone number, city, Instagram handle and a short note about what brings you here. All of them are required, because the community is curated and we read every registration. The form is our own and the details are stored by us; they are not sent to a third-party form service. Your registration is linked to the visit that led to it, so we can see what you read before signing up.
• Aggregate analytics. We use Vercel Analytics, which is cookieless and does not track you across other websites.
• Session analytics. We use Microsoft Clarity to see how pages are actually used — anonymised recordings of clicks, scrolling and mouse movement, plus heatmaps. Clarity sets its own cookies and masks the text you type by default. It helps us work out which parts of the page people read and where they get stuck.

Why we collect it

To understand which parts of the site people actually read, where our community is finding us, and to respond properly when someone registers. We do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising.

The WhatsApp group. Because this is a community rather than an open event, we read every registration and take our time deciding who joins next. We do not send invitations one by one: if you are selected, we add you to The Social Silsila WhatsApp group, and your phone number becomes visible to the other members of that group. Tell us if you would rather we did not, and we will find another way to reach you.

How long we keep it

Visit-analytics records, including IP address and approximate location, are automatically deleted after 90 days. Registration details are kept as long as we are in touch with you about the community.

Your choices

You can ask what we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, at any time — write to hello@thesocialsilsila.club. You can block cookies in your browser settings; the site still works.
